At Motorenwerke, refurbished means we checked the engine and sell it as you see it. It does not mean every part inside is new.
We sell long blocks, not rebuilt engines. The bearings, rings and head are the original factory parts, not new ones.
Will it fit my car?
A refurbished engine must still match your car. Our check does not change the sump, the flywheel, or the code.

What we check
We write our notes on the product page. Leaks, a cracked pulley, or a broken plug stay in the notes.
If an engine fails our check, we do not sell it.
How to pick the right engine
We do not rebuild engines. You get the used long block in the photos, with its original internals.
Warranty
Many engines come with up to 12 months warranty. A proper workshop must fit the engine. The warranty is for a fault inside the engine. It does not cover the wrong engine, a dry start, the wrong oil, or damage done after you open the crate.
Shipping
Crate shipping from Hamburg costs 299 EUR. We pack the engine in a strong crate and send it to the address on your order. You need a forklift or an engine crane to unload it.
